Iram of the Pillars

Iram of the Pillars (Arabic: إرَم ذَات ٱلْعِمَاد) is a legendary, fabled metropolis referenced in the Quran. Often dubbed the "Atlantis of the Sands", it is traditionally described as an opulent, magnificent city built by the ancient 'Ad tribe before being swallowed by divine storms and the desert.
